September 2018

Junque in the Trunk was a big success! Many thanks to John Cherven for allowing us to hold this event on his property! Next event will be the Arts & Crafts Show on Oct. 6 in the Grayling Elementary School, 10am-4pm. There are still a few spaces for crafters available. We continue to meet on Tuesdays, noon,  at the Gray Rock Pub-n-Grub, until the end of November. The location may change after that. New members are always welcomed. This is a very busy time of year for the members of GPA! The Fashion Show Committee is preparing for this year's event to be held May 19, sending out and receiving applications for the Annual Arts & Crafts Show in October, and preparing to plant flowers! (if the snow ever stays away) The Beautification Committee will once again be hanging flower baskets and planting the large pots downtown, and planting flowers along the Business Loop. November 2017

By the time this gets into print Deer Season will be in full swing,   Thanksgiving dinner will be a memory and the left-overs will be gone.  Everyone is now in a panic to get the Christmas decorations out and up and the ‘lists’ made and the shopping has begun.  Hope you made good use of our Bearly Used  GPA Christmas Shop this year.  It was full of wonderful decorations and gifts at rock-bottom prices.    Our Festival of Trees was another … [Read more...]

GPA News June 2017

They say time flies when you’re having fun.  Seems to me it flies in the summer whether you’re having fun or just keeping busy around the house.  If you’re involved in your community with an organization or two it really gets crazy!  I keep telling myself being busy is good for me.  Hope I’m right. Feb.update

GPA members are busy making plans for their 2017 events. We'll have a booth at the Grayling Chamber Expo on April 20, and Pictionary is scheduled for April 21. The Fashion Show will be May 20, and is being held at the Community Room at the new Kirtland Health Sciences Building. Changes for that event include having vendors, a time change with a brunch instead of lunch, and a silent auction. The Beautification Committee is just waiting for spring to plant the flowers you see all over town. … [Read more...]
