GPA supports Michigan Main Street project

October 16, 2013 By Grayling Promotional Association

GPA has voted to financially support the Michigan Main Street project if Grayling is accepted in to the program. They committed to $5000 the first year, and $1250 for four years thereafter.

The Michigan Main Street program’s purpose is to support and improve Michigan’s downtowns and neighborhood commercial districts by promoting and implementing the Main Street Four-Point Approach® in rural communities and urban neighborhood commercial districts across the state.  The program builds partnerships that offer resources and empowers communities to create successful and sustainable Main Street programs reflecting the value of preservation-based economic development.  For more information, please visit: http://www.michiganmainstreetcenter.com.

About Grayling Revitalization Improvement Project (GRIP)

Grayling Revitalization Improvement Project (GRIP), operating as a sub-committee of the Downtown Development Authority, is a volunteer driven coalition representing the interests of individuals, civic organizations, and businesses in the Grayling area.  The committee’s purpose is to inspire a center of cultural and recreational activity and ensure economic stability for the “Heart of the North” through entrepreneurship, historic preservation, art and cultural activities, education, communication, promotion, and the economic revitalization of Grayling.  For more information, please contact Shannon Sorenson.
